Sister Diana Malone, BVM, 89, of Mount Carmel Bluffs, 1160 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, Iowa, died Monday, May 5, 2025.

Visitation will be from 9-9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, in the Mary Frances Clarke Chapel at Mount Carmel Bluffs. Sharing of Memories will be at 9:30 a.m., followed immediately by the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial is in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Sister Diana was a chemistry professor and department chair at Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa.  She also taught at Assumption HS in Davenport, Iowa.

She was born May 6, 1935, in Chicago to Raymond and Philomena (Pettimato) Malone. She entered the BVM congregation on Sept. 8, 1956, from St. Callistus, Chicago. She professed first vows on Feb. 3, 1959, and final vows on July 16, 1964.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles Malone.  She is survived by cousins and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for 68 years.
