William J. "Bill" Fluhr, 69, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at home.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque.

Graveside services are 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the East Dubuque Cemetery, with Deacon Mike Timmerman officiating.

Bill was born on August 11, 1953, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Robert P. and Betty Mae (Tropf) Fluhr.  He attended East Dubuque High School.

Bill was formerly employed at Ferrell Gas in East Dubuque, and later worked for the City of Dubuque Park's Dept., from where he retired.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, his Harley motorcycle and Thursday evening outings with Grandma Betty, frequenting the Brass Ring and the 3100 Club, plus the Casino.

Surviving are two sons, Josh (Nicolle) Fluhr and Ryan (Terra) Fluhr, both of East Dubuque; two grandchildren, Brock and Madyson; a brother, Gary Fluhr; a sister, Lisa (Todd Berggren) Williams; and a niece, Erin (Josh) Timmerman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Betty.
