Vivian M. (Bray) Sisler, 93, of Galena, IL, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015, at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 A/M, on Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at St. Michael's Church, in Galena, with Rev. Stanislaw Kos officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Galena.
Visitation will be from 4 P/M - 7 P/M, on Monday, February 16, 2015, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Galena, where the parish scripture service will be at 4 P/M, on Monday.
Vivian was born on February 20, 1921, in Scales Mound, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Clara (Kilcoyne) Bray. She was united in marriage to Clyde M. Sisler on January 20, 1941, at Holy Trinity Church, in Scales Mound. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2001.
She was a graduate and class valedictorian of the Class of 1938 at Scales Mound High School.
Vivian was a member of St. Michael's Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society. She formerly worked at The Frame Shop gift shop in Galena. She and Clyde were members of the Camp Delton Club at Lake Delton, WI, for many years and loved to travel.
Vivian was very devoted to her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are two (2) sons, Michael (Lynn) Sisler, of Galena, IL, and Gary (Suzannah) Sisler of Madison, WI; her grandchildren, Paul, Brad and Andy Sisler and Shannah Garofalo; her great-grandchildren, Mia Garofalo, Elly and Brie Sisler, Graham and Evan Sisler, and Nicco Garofalo; and her Bray nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Clara; her husband, Clyde; her daughter, Cherillyn Kay "Cheri" Sisler, on April 17, 2014; and a brother, Robert "Bob" Bray.
Vivian's family wishes to "thank" the nurses and staff at the Galena-Stauss Senior Care Community and Hospice of Dubuque for the wonderful care given to their Mother.
