Violet E. Sheean, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Ahva Living Center in East Dubuque.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 10, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church, in East Dubuque, with Fr. Bosco Aruldoss officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation. 

The Miller Funeral Home, of East Dubuque, is serving the family.

Violet was born in Fairplay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Raymond and Estella (Leibold) Sheean, on January 3, 1923. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School, in East Dubuque, and St. Joseph Academy in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked at Durrant & Bergquist Architects until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society.

Surviving are nieces, Jacqueline Meyer, Ada Hale, Pamela Sheean, Debra (John) Tully, Dona Oberfoell; and many cousins.
