Veryle A. Rogers, 96, formerly of Darlington, WI, and Scales Mound, IL, passed away, on Saturday morning, November 19, 2016, at the Shullsburg Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 A/M, on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, in Scales Mound, with Pastor Joey Garcea officiating.  Burial will be in the Scales Mound Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 9:30 A/M until the time of service, on Tuesday, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home.

Veryle was born near New Diggings, WI, on February 23, 1920, the son of Thomas A. and Goldie (Kimel) Rogers.  He farmed his entire life.  Veryle loved watching TV, especially golf and game shows.  He enjoyed his little blue car.

Surviving are his nieces, June (Jerry) Hancock, of Darlington, WI, Gail Smith, of Galena, IL, Cindy (Steve) VanRaalte, of Apple River, IL, and Tina Kelly, of Nora, IL; his nephews, Earl (Diane) Rogers, of Nora, IL, and Thomas (Cindy) Rogers, of Scales Mound, IL; and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; brothers, Leo (Fredericka) Rogers, and Don (Pauline) Rogers; a niece, Lois Marie Rogers; and a nephew-in-law, Tom Smith.
