Mrs. Terry (Susan M Grace) Freese, 56, of rural East Dubuque, IL, passed away, at 1:20 A/M, on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at home, surrounded by her family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Monday, August 8, 2016, at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, in Menominee, with Fr. Stephan Lundgren officiating. Burial will be in Nativity BVM Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 P/M to 5 P/M, on Sunday, August 7, 2016, and from 9 A/M to 9:45 A/M, on Monday, August 8, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish rosary will be recited at 12:45 P/M, on Sunday

Sue was born on January 3, 1960, at Oelwein, IA, the daughter of Tom and Ann (Costigan) Grace. She was a graduate of Oelwein High School, Class of 1978. Sue was united in marriage to Terry L. Freese, on May 10, 1986, at Sacred Heart Church, in Oelwein, and they shared thirty (30) years of marriage.

She was employed at Area Residential Care, in Dubuque, retiring in 2013, due to health issues. Sue loved dragon boat racing, bird watching, 4-wheeling and canoeing. She was a member of Nativity BVM Parish.

Surviving are her husband, Terry; her devoted son, Jared Freese, of East Dubuque, IL; her parents, Tom and Ann Grace, of Oelwein, IA; her sister, Amy (Steve) Henderson and daughter, Jamie, of Madison, WI; her extended family includes father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gerald and Karen Freese; brother-in-law, Tim (Chrissy); sisters-in-law, Tamara (Eric) Sanderson and Amy Freese Shanley; her nieces and nephews, Jamie Henderson, Grant and Laine Sanderson, Robert John (R.J.) Shanley, Abbey, Isabelle and Audri Freese.

A Susan M Freese Memorial Fund has been established.

Terry and Jared wish to "thank" Dr. Schultheis and staff, and the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque, for the wonderful care given to their wife and mom.
