Susie was born on October 1, 1944, on her sister Joyce's 7th birthday, in Galena, IL, to Leo and Ethel (Curtis) Molitor, the 5th of 6 children. She attended St. Michael's grade school and Galena High School.

On February 8, 1964, she married Gary Werner. They lived in Rockford, Savanna and East Dubuque, IL. They had a son, James, on February 16, 1973. Gary died in 1973.

Susan and Dick Brimeyer met through a friend and were married on April 4, 1975, at the Little Brown Church, in Nashua, IA, and later had their marriage blessed at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque.

Susie had a zest for life and trying new things. She was always looking on the bright side. She had no time for complaining. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She loved spending time with family and friends. She considered her greatest gift, her husband and soulmate of 40+ years, Dick, and their son, Jim, a wonderful son, always willing to help and never too old to give us a hug.

Surviving is her son, Jim; and step-son, Miles; three (3) step granddaughters; and seven (7) step-great grandchildren; her siblings, Leo Molitor and Rose Davis, both of Dubuque, IA, Jim (Cenzie) Molitor, of Pennsylvania, Floyd (Marlene) Molitor, of Scales Mound, IL; her in-laws, Betty (Clemie) Pins, Janet (Paul) Reiss, Hubert (Rosie) Brimeyer, Paul (Kay) Brimeyer, Barb (Lyle) Kramer, and Larry Powers; many nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends, especially Carol and Dick.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents, Leo and Ethel Molitor; one (1) sister, Joyce Schoenhardt; five (5) sisters-in-law; and two (2) brothers-in-law.

My Mom wrote this so I would not have to - all I have to add is the world is a better place because of you and I will always love and miss you! Mom and Pop are together again forever now - Love, Jim!
