Sister Mary Wojnicki, BVM (Chester), 79, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, died at 3 P/M, Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Marian Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 P/M, Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Marian Hall Chapel. Friends may call from 9 A/M to 11 A/M, Thursday, with a Prayer Service at 11 A/M at Marian Hall Chapel.
The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on March 8, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Stephen and Estelle (Kozak) Wojnicki.
Sister Mary made her first profession on March 19, 1954, and her final profession on July 16, 1959. Sister Mary was an elementery school teacher and principal in Missoula, Montana, and in Chicago, Illinois, where she later served on the faculty of Mundelein College and Loyola University.
Sister Mary Wojnicki is survived by the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary with whom she shared life for 60 years. Her family survivers are brothers, Stephen and John Wojnicki, nieces and nephews.
