Sister Tanya Williams, OP, died January 9, 2019, in St. Louis Park, MN.

A funeral Mass will be Thursday, January 17, 2019, at 10:30 A/M, at the Sinsinawa Motherhouse.  A wake service will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 6:30 P/M.

Since 2012, Sister Tanya was employment services manager at Interfaith Partners in Plymouth, MN, and a counselor at Hennepin County Adult Corrections Facility since 2008.

Sister Tanya was born July 8, 1953, to Herschell and Dorothy (Yates) Williams in San Angelo, TX.  She grew up in Mobile, AL, attending grade and high school there.  She received a music therapy degree from Loyola University, New Orleans, and master's degrees in speech pathology from the University of Missouri and theology from the College of St. Catherine, MN.

She is survived by her sister; nieces; nephews, and her Dominican Sisters.

The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
