Sister Georgia Taylor, BVM (Valentina), 80, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, IA, died at 5:35 P/M, Wednesday, October 3, 2012,at Marian Hall.
Services will be held at 1:30 P/M, Monday, October 8, 2012, at Marian Hall. Friends may call from 9 A/M to 11 A/M, Monday, at Marian Hall, where there will be a prayer service held at 11 A/M.
The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge or arrangements.
Sister Georgia was an elementery school teacher in Phoenix and Tucson, AZ, and Burbank, Los Angeles, and Pasadena, CA. She ministered in social service work in San Jose, CA, and was director of religious education in Mexicali, Mexico, San Diego and El Monte, CA.
She was born on February 14, 1932, in Highland Park, IL, daughter of George and Jeannett Ann (Zehren) Taylor.
She made her first profession of vows on March 19, 1953, and her final profession on July 16, 1958.
Surviving are brothers, George Taylor, Brea, CA, and Richard Taylor, Sun City, CA; nieces and nephews; and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with whom she shared 62 years.
