Sister Dorothea Snaer, OP, died September 27, 2021, at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, WI.

She was born November 17, 1934, to Bernard and Anna (Ratigan) Snaer in Glendale, CA.  There were two children.  She is survived by a niece, nephews and her Dominican family.

Sister Dorothea loved language.  She attained Master's degrees in French and Comparative Literature.  She taught French in high schools and a college in Illinois, Wisconsin and California.  From 2006 until 2020, Sister Dorothea ministered at Holy Family Catholic Community in Glendale, CA.  She served as Chaplain in a correctional facility and as coordinator of Eucharistic ministers for homebound.  Her faith was strong.

Funeral services are at Sinsinawa September 30th - October 1st.
