Obituary
Sister Helen Sherrard, BVM (Agneselle), 87, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, IA, passed away at 10:50 A/M, Monday, October 21, 2013, at Marian Hall.
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 P/M, Friday, October 25, 2013, at Marian Hall Chapel.
Friends may call from 9 A/M to 11 A/M, Friday, October 25th, at the chapel, where there will be a prayer service from 9 A/M to 11 A/M.
The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
Sister Helen was an elementery school educator and administrator at Montessori Country School, Dubuque; St. Patrick, Cedar Falls; St. Mary/St. Patrick, Tama; Clinton, Iowa City, and Davenport, all in Iowa; Wichita, KS; and Pasadena, CA. She was a librarian, parish minister, and volunteer in Chattanooga, TN.
Sister was born on December 17, 1925, in Boone, IA, the daughter of William Sherrard and Agnes Mae Larson Sherrard.
Sister made her first profession of vows on March 19, 1946, and her final profession on August 15, 1951.
Surviving are a brother, Robert (Penny) Sherrard, of Childers, TX; nieces and nephews; and BVM Sisters.
