Sister Carolyn Schlueter, OSF, 92, of Clare House, Dubuque, IA passed away at 8:50 P/M, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Clare House.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 P/M, Saturday, November 10, 2012 in Francis Chapel with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.
Visitation is 4 P/M to 7 P/M, Friday, November 9, 2012 in Francis Chapel.
Sister Carolyn was born on December 6, 1919 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Frank and Florence (Loes) Schlueter.
Sister Carolyn entered the Sisters of St. Francis on September 8, 1939 and made her final profession of vows August 12, 1945. Sister ministered as a music teacher in the Iowa cities of Dubuque (Holy Ghost, Holy Trinity, Mount St. Francis), Dyersville, Cascade, Waterloo (St. Edward) and Sioux City (Heelan).
Sister is survived by her sisters, Mary Arant and Lois Nicks; her brother, Jim; nieces; nephews; and her Franciscan sisters with whom she shared 72 years of her life.
Sisters was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Sr. Cecile and Anna Mae (Mel) Nicks; her brother-in-law, Jack Arant; and her sister-in-law, Pat.
Memorials may be given to the Sisters of St. Francis, Dubuque, IA.
