Sister Susann Rogers, OSF, 94, of Clare House, Dubuque, IA, passed away at 7:45 A/M, on Monday, October 9, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 1 P/M, in Francis Chapel.  Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 7 P/M, on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, with Funeral Vigil at 7 P/M, in Francis Chapel.

She was born on June 25, 1923, in Monticello, IA,  the daughter of George and Susanna (Hosch) Rogers.

She entered the Sisters of St. Francis on August 25, 1944, and made final profession of vows August 12, 1950.

Sister received her BA in History from Briar Cliff College, Sioux City, IA, in 1957.  She was missioned in Iowa at Dyersville, Odebolt, Ionia, Rockwell City, Webster City, Cherokee; at St. Anthony's Home and Villa Maria, Sioux City; at Sacred Heart, St. Mary's Home and Mount St. Francis Center, Dubuque; and at St. Cloud, MN.  She also served in Congregational leadership for Sisters of St. Francis.

Sister is survived by her brother-in-law, Edwin Kleitsch; nieces; nephews; and her Franciscan sisters with whom she shared (72) years of her life.

Sister was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathryn (Frank) Kremer, Mary Rogers, Florence (Arnold) Cigrand, Carolyn (Richard) Wood, Sr. Mary Keith Rogers, OSF, Lorraine (Ralph) Kurt, Dolores Kleitsch; brothers, John (Ruth) Rogers and Bill (Elaine) Rogers.

Memorials may be given to the Sisters of St. Francis, Dubuque, IA.

The Miller Funeral Home, of East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
