Sister Philip Mary Reilly, OP, died September 28, 2021, at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, WI.

She was born May 10, 1931, to Philip and Lauretta (Reynolds) Reilly.  She was given the name Marianne.  There were four children.  She was given the name, Sister Philip Mary, by the Sinsinawa Dominicans.

She is survived by nieces, nephews, and her beloved Dominican family.

She was a gifted linguist, receiving her doctorate in Spanish from the University of Texas (Austin) in 1972.  Sister Philip Mary taught or tutored Spanish in Wisconsin, Texas and Illinois.  Her commitment and love for Dominican University, in River Forest, IL, was a gift to students, staff and faculty for decades.  Her huge smile, delight in people and profound faith were contagious.

Funeral services will be at Sinsinawa on October 4th-5th.
