Sister Lucille Marie Frost, OP (Mary Johann), 95, of Sinsinawa Mound, Sinsinawa, WI, passed away at 8:20 P/M, on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the Motherhouse.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Thursday, December 11, 2014, at Queen of the Rosary Chapel, Sinsinawa, WI, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5:15 P/M, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the Motherhouse where a wake and remembering service will take place at 6:30 P/M.

Sister Lucille Marie was a lifelong educator. She was a teacher and principal of elementary schools for (33) years and was Assistant Dean of Studies at Edgewood College, Madison, WI, for (17) years. Seven of those years Sister Lucille Marie was Vicar for Religious for the Madison Diocese. She was office manager of the 8th Day Center, Chicago, IL, and later a vital part of community life at the Motherhouse. Sister Lucille Marie's ministries took her to Washington, DC, Illinois, Montana, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

Sister Lucille Marie was born December 6, 1919, in Kenmer, ND, to Christina Marie Schmaing and Phillip Frost, made her profession August 5, 1950. She is survived by sisters, Geri Stratman and Rita Bartels; nieces; nephews; and the Sinsinawa Dominicans with whom she shared life for (64) years.

The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
