Sister Marilyn Kruse, OP, 96, died March 7, 2015, at St. Dominic Villa.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in the Gathering Place, at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, WI. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane, Washington.
Friends may call after 5 P/M, on Monday, March 9, 2015, at the Motherhouse, where a remembering and wake service will take place at 6 P/M.
Sister Marilyn, before entering the congregation, served in the U S Army Nurse Corps.
Sister Marily ministered 10 years as a nurse; and 3, as a Hospice Visitor. She served 11 years as a pastoral minister; and 10, as a tutor in schools.
Her ministries took her to Montana, Washington, and Wisconsin.
St. Marilyn, born in Mt. Angel, OR, to Catherine May and Joseph Kruse, made her profession as a Poor School Sister of St. Dominic, of Speyer, Germany, at Kettle Falls, Washington, June 7, 1962. The congregation members at Kettle Falls became the Dominican Sisters of Spokane, 1986, and merged with the Sinsinawa Dominicans in 1995.
Sister Marilyn is survived by nieces, nephews and the Dominican Sisters with whom she shared life for 52 years.
The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
