Sister Mary Jocille Valliere, BVM, 102, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, IA, passed away at 9:55 P/M, Friday, May 31, 2013, at Marian Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 P/M, Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Marian Hall Chapel. Friends may call from 9 A/M to 11 A/M, Thursday, at the chapel where there will be a prayer service at 11 A/M. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
Sister Valliere was a bursar at Clarke College and administrator at schools in Emmetsburg, IA; Chicago, IL; St. Louis and Kansas City, MO. She was a member of a ministry site team in Chicago, IL.
She was born on August 20, 1910, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Joseph Henry Valliere and Nora (Landers) Valliere.
She made her first profession of vows on March 19, 1933, and her final profession of vows on August 15, 1938.
Surviving are nieces and nephews and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with whom she shared life for 82 years.
