Sister Veronique Hennegan, BVM, 92, of Marion Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, IA, passed away at 11:05 A/M, Friday, May 31, 2013, at Marian Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 P/M, Thursday, June 6, 2013, in Marian Hall Chapel. Friends may call from 9 A/M to 11 A/M, Thursday, in the chapel where there will be a prayer service at 11 A/M. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuqe, is in charge of arrangements.
Sister Veronique was an elementery and secondary school educator at St. Patrick's and St. Anthony's, Dubuque, IA; Fort Dodge, IA; Maywood, Chicago, and Mundelein, IL; Hempstead and West Hempstead, NY; and San Francisco, CA.
She was born on June 13, 1920, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John and Catherine (Laffey) Hennegan.
She made her first profession of vows on March 19, 1941, and made her final profession of vows on August 15, 1946.
Surviving are a niece and nephew and Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with whom she shared life for 74 years.
