Sister Patricia Galhouse, BVM (Casia), 88, of Marian Hall, 1050 Carmel Drive, Dubuque, IA, died at 11:20 A/M, Monday, June 30, 2014, at Marian Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A/M, Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Marian Hall, where friends may visit the cremated remains after 10 A/M.
The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
Sister Patricia was an elementary school principal at St. Patrick's and teacher at St. Anthony's in Dubuque, Davenport, Clinton, Cedar Falls, Iowa City, and Tama, IA; Chattanooga, TN; Mountlake Terrace, WA; Kansas City, MO; Milwaukee, WI; and Los Angeles, CA. She served as librarian in West Hempstead, NY.
She was born on February 12, 1926, in Chicago, IL, daughter of Charles and Anna Marie (Luke) Galhouse.
She made her first profession of vows on March 19, 1947; and her final profession on August 15, 1952.
Surviving are nephews and nieces-in-law; and the Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with whom she shared life for 69 years.
