Sister Marya Dugard, OP, died October 2, 2022. Professed in 1950, she taught in the following schools: Visitation, Chicago, IL; St. James, Rockford, IL; St. Mary, Cheyenne, WY; St. Sabina, Chicago, IL; Queen of Peace, Madison, WI; St. Barnabas, Chicago, IL; St. Mary, Evanston, IL; St. Basil, Chicago, IL; Visitation, Kewanee, IL; and St. Mark, Peoria, IL, where she was later an aide. Sr. Marya served as pastoral associate at St. Martin de Porres Parish, Peoria, IL; religious education teacher at Immaculate Conception School, Kieler, WI; support staff at the Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, WI; and family care in Peoria, IL. She visited the elderly and ill at Holy Trinity Parish, Bloomington, IL; and St. Mark Parish and St. Augustine Manor, both in Peoria, IL. Sr. Marya was a woman of strong conviction.  Within the Catholic tradition, she had a deep devotion to Mary.  Her faith helped her to offer kindness to others. May she rest in peace.
