Obituary

Sister Jean Brennan, OP (Jerome Aemilian), 85, passed away July 28, 2015, at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa, WI.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Monday, August 3, 2015, at Queen of Rosary Chapel, Sinsinawa, WI, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.

Friends may call after 5:15 P/M, on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at the Motherhouse where a wake and remembering service will take place at 6:30 P/M.

Sister Jean ministered eighteen (18) years in River Forest, IL, six (6) as secretary and eight (8) as resident director at Rosary College (now Dominican University) and four (4) as religious education director of St. Luke Parish.

Sister was nineteen (19) years in Minneapolis, MN, eight (8) as a Catholic Eldercare volunteer, four (4) as religious education director at Holy Rosary Parish, and seven (7) as a teacher at St. Albert the Great School.

She served eleven (11) years in Iowa, one (1) at Heelan High School, Sioux City, as counselor, and ten (10) at St. Dominic villa as pastoral minister.

She enriched community life wherever she lived.

Sister Jean, born March 10, 1930, in Sioux City, IA, to Kathryn Fleming and Charles Jerome Brennan, made her profession August 5, 1956.

Sister is survived by her Sinsinawa sister, Margaret Ann "Peggy" Brennan, OP; nieces; nephews; and the Sisters with whom she shared life for fifty-eight (58) years.

The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is in charge of arrangements.
