Selma K. Marcue, 96, of Potosi, WI, passed away peacefully, on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Orchard Manor Nursing Home, in Lancaster, WI.

Funeral Services for Selma will be at 11 A/M, on Friday, January 19, 2018, at Davies Memorial United Church of Christ, Potosi, WI, with Pastor Maggie Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in British Hollow Cemetery, Potosi, WI.

Visitation is Friday, January 19th, from 10 A/M until the time of service at the church.

The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is serving the family.

Selma was a lifelong resident of Potosi.  She was born November 18, 1921, in a house boat on the Platte River, in Paris Township, of Grant County, WI.  She was the oldest daughter to Lawrence and Louisa (Wackerhauser) Pickel.  She married Clifford "Buck" Marcue in November, 1939.  He preceded her in death on June 28, 1972.

As a child, Selma attended The School for the Blind, in Vinton, IA.  She later farmed in Potosi with Clifford until 1969. Selma also worked at the Dressen Nursing Home, in Cassville, WI, and the Lancaster Care Center.

She is survived by her two (2) sons, Larry (Judy) Marcue, of Hazel Green, WI, and Lonnie (Sheila) Marcue, of Potosi, WI; seven (7) grandchildren, Michelle, Barry, Tim, Bruce, Larry, Cathy and Sherri; fifteen (15) great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchilden; two (2) brothers, Larry (Dina) Pickel, of Potosi, WI, and Jerry (Cheryl) Pickel, of Dubuque, IA.

She was also preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Rosie (Bob) Murphy; her parents; four (4) brothers, Delbert, Bernell, Ernest, and Harold; and seven (7) sisters, Goldie Eggers, Evelyn King, Elvira Merritt, Kathleen Wedig, Linda Sheldon-Reifsteck, Stella Haun, and Lila Trickle.

The family request no plants or flowers.

A Selma Marcue Memorial Fund has been established.
