Ruth M. Lutzow, 81, of Galena, IL, passed away on Wednesday morning, May 13, 2015, at home.

Funeral services will be at 12 Noon, on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, in Galena, with Rev. Dr. Fred Baltz officating.

Visitation will be from 9 A/M to 11:45 A/M, on Saturday, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

The Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, Galena, is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born on February 2, 1934, at Washington, IA, the daughter of Louise (Whisler) Klatick. She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Lutzow in 1959. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1998.

Ruth enjoyed golfing, fishing and life in general. Ruth loved rocking the babies at Day Care. Ruth was a very active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, where she served as church secretary, a member of the church council and headed the funeral dinner committee.

Surviving are two (2) daughters, Bonnie (Michael) Zadny, of Hartland, WI, and Kimberly (Jeff) Miller, of Galena, IL; seven (7) grandchildren, Matthew (Kara) Clemente, of Chicago, IL, Michael Clemente of Niles, IL (both of whom she raised), Emily Zadny, of Hartland, WI, Brian Miller, of Phoenix, AZ, Sarah Miller, of Downers Grove, IL, Stacy Miller and Scott Miller, both of Galena, IL; four (4) great-grandchildren, Decker, Ainsley, Shylar and Vincent Clemente; one (1) brother, Paul (Rosemary) Kolosick, McHenry, IL; and one (1) sister, Pauline (Clarence) Brown, of Washington, IA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise; her husband, William; and two (2) sisters, Patricia Young and Deloris Call.

Memorials may be given to St Matthew Lutheran Church.

Ruth's family wishes to express their "appreciation" to Dr. Eric Engelman and staff, Mercy Medical Center 3-West nurses and staff, and to Hospice of Dubuque for the wonderful care provided to Ruth.
