Rozella A. (Kuehl) Williams, 93, of Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque, IA, and formerly of 2 Julien Dubuque Drive, Dubuque, passed away at 12:55 P/M, Friday, August 9, 2013, at Unity Point-The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. Burial will be at a later date in the East Dubuque, IL. Cemetery. Mrs. Williams has donated her body for medical research to the Mayo Clinic at Rochester, MN. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, is serving the family.
Rozella Ann was born in Holstein, IA, on May 4, 1920, to Hans and Anna (Miller) Kuehl. She married Kendrick G. Williams on November 22, 1944, at St. John's Parish, Independence, IA. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2004.
She graduated from Rowley High School and the Waterloo Pitzes Beauty Academy. Rozella worked for thirty years in the cosmetology field in Independence and Waterloo, IA, moving to Dubuque in 1969.
She was a member of St. Raphael's Cathedral, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Legion Auxiliary, the Savery Club, and for many years a visitor for Reach for Recovery program for the American Cancer Society.
Surviving are two grandchildren, Carey Ann and Matthew Welch, both of Dubuque, IA; and a special niece, Glenda Eccles, of Ogden, IA.
She was preceded in death by her only daughter, Ann Margaret, in 1987.
