Obituary

Rosella M. (Hinderman) Roth, 90, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 7:20 P/M, on Saturday, November 28, 2015, at Stonehill Care Center, Dubuque, IA, surrounded by her family.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 7 P/M, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, and from 9:15 A/M to 10 A/M, on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish rosary will be recited at 2:45 P/M, Tuesday.

Rosella was born on July 12, 1925, in Dickeyville, WI, the daughter of Michael and Clara (Kowalski) Hinderman. She married Merlin V. Roth, on July 16, 1946, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1998.

Rosella was a member of St. Mary's Church and its Altar & Rosary Society. Rosella enjoyed cleaning and was employed at numerous private homes. Family was her life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved baking and preparing the weekly Sunday dinner for her family and looked forward to playing Dominos with her sisters.

Surviving are two (2) daughters, Nancy (Mark) Palmer, of Dubuque, IA, and Lynn (Bill) Morrison, of East Dubuque, IL; three (3) grandchildren, Aaron (Tracy) Morrison, Ben Morrison, and Andy (Kayla) Palmer; five (5) great-grandchildren, Aaron, Avery, Jillian, Brayden and Hadley; her siblings, Jerome Hinderman, of Cuba City, WI, Lucille (Don) Jackson, Jean Reisen, Norman (Shirley) Hinderman, Germaine Hayes and Val Hinderman, all of East Dubuque, IL; a sister-in-law, Gerri Roth, of Dubuque, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and her special friend, LuAnn.

Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Clara; her husband, Merlin; and in-laws, Ralph Reisen, Merlin Hayes, Alverna Hinderman, Milton (Doris) Roth and Martin Roth.

Rosella's family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the nurses and staff at Stonehill Care Center for the special care given to Mom over the past year and also to Hospice of Dubuque.
