Rosella C. "Sally" Eckert, 90, of Kieler, WI, passed away at 8:25 A/M, Monday, September 18, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Friday, September 22, 2017, at Holy Ghost Church, in Dickeyville, WI, with Fr. Bernard Rott officiating.  Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, in Kieler, WI.

Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 7 P/M, on Thursday, September 21, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, IL, where the parish scripture service will be at 3:45 P/M, on Thursday.  Visitation will continue on Friday, from 9:30 A/M to 10:15 A/M, at the church.

Sally was born on July 3, 1927, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Webster and Loretta (Soat) Smith.  She was united in marriage to Ernest A. Eckert, on August 28, 1948, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque.  He preceded her in death on March 23, 2003.

Sally was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and its Council of Catholic Women.  She enjoyed baking, playing cards, bingo and doing needle work.

Surviving are two (2) children, Wayne J. Eckert (fiance', Joyce Steffen), of Dubuque, IA, and Roseann (Rocky) Emler, of Potosi, WI; a granddaughter, Heather (Marcus) Emler Groom; a great-grandson, Wyatt Emler; and a brother, Eugene Smith, of Waukesha, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Webster and Loretta; her husband, Ernest; and one (1) sister, Mary Lou Korber.

Wayne and Roseann would like to "thank" the nurses and staff at Dubuque Specialty Care and the Cardiac Medical Unit at Mercy Medical Center for the special care given to their mother!
