Obituary
Ronald F. "Ron" Janzen, 78, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, at home.
Funeral Services will be at 7 P/M, Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 P/M to 7 P/M, Tuesday, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque.
Ron was born on March 29, 1935, in East Dubuque, IL, the son of Arthur L. and Emily M. (Leifker) Janzen.
Ron was a veteran of the Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. Ron formerly worked at the Dubuque Packing Company and the Telegraph Herald. He was a former member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local #150-A.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna (David) Schroeder, of Dubuque, IA; three grandchildren, Joshua Schroeder, Heather Schroeder and Jodi (Matt) McCarron; one great grandson, Micah McCarron; his aunt, Sister Mary Jo Leifker, PBVM, of Dubuque, IA; and a brother-in-law, Norb Foht, of East Dubuque, IL; and nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Aggie Foht; and a brother, LaVerne "Bunny" Janzen.
