Ronald L. "Ron" Hendrickson, 75, of Galena, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Ennoble Nursing and Rehab, Dubuque, IA.

Family and friends may call from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Miller-Steinke Funeral Home in Scales Mound, IL. Private family burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Scales Mound.

Ron was born on March 13, 1949, in Hazel Green, WI, the son of Luther D. and Myrtle M. (Raisbeck) Hendrickson. He was a graduate of Scales Mound High School, the Class of 1967. On June 20, 1970, he was united in marriage to Rosemary A. Winter, at St. Michael's Church, in Galena.

Ron was formerly employed at Flynn Concrete Construction as a truck driver. He enjoyed Dirt Track Racing, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Rosemary; two sons, Jeff Hendrickson, of Hazel Green, WI, and Justin (Lisa) Hendrickson, of Dubuque, IA; a daughter, Joanne (Jim) Fonger; of Hanover, IL; 11-grandchildren and 3-great grandchildren; one brother, David (Joann) Hendrickson, of Dubuque, IA; and one sister, Karen (John) Sincox, of Scales Mound, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Myrtle; a son, James C. "Lumpy" Hendrickson, on April 6, 2020; five sisters, Doris Woellert, Judy Gleason, Marion Mullen, Glenda Young and Vicki Stilson; two brothers, Billy and Bernard Mullen; and a nephew, Cory Sincox

A Ronald Hendrickson Memorial Fund has been established.
