Raymond A. "Ray" Kuhl, 53, of rural Hazel Green, WI, passed away Friday afternoon, September 21, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA, following a two year battle with Lymphoma
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, at Sinsinawa, WI, with Fr. Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 8 P/M, on Monday, September 24, 2018, and from 9:30 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at St. Joseph's Church, in Sinsinawa, where the Parish Scripture service will be at 2:30 P/M, on Monday.
The Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, is serving the family.
Ray was born on July 20, 1965, at Hazel Green, WI, the son of Alfred L. and Mary Ann (Erner) Kuhl. He was united in marriage to Lisa M. Gruel, on July 2, 1993, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque.
Ray was a 1983 graduate of Southwestern High School, at Hazel Green, and attended Southwest Technical School, at Fennimore. Ray was the owner and operator of Kuhl's Appliance Repair. He would always do anything for anybody without hesitation.
He loved bow hunting, the outdoors, camping, and time spent with family and friends. One of his newest, greatest joys was being a papa. He cherished his time in Black River Falls and his yearly hunting trip to Michigan.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa; their children, Zach, of Kieler, WI, Connor (Alex), of Hazel Green, WI, Riley, of East Dubuque, IL, and Rachel Kuhl, at home; two (2) grandsons, Jackson and Andrew, and one (1) on the way; his mother, Mary Ann Kuhl, of Galena, IL, his siblings, Julie (Ron) Schuchart, of Cuba City, WI, Jack (Jane) Kuhl, of Hazel Green, WI, Joan (Doug) Raymond, of Boulder, CO, and Fred (Jill) Kuhl, of Hazel Green, WI; nieces and nephews; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herb and Florence Gruel, of East Dubuque, IL; in-laws, Greg (Mary Beth) Gruel, of East Dubuque, IL, Kathy (Les) Harling, of Dubuque, IA, and Laurie Groff, of Colorado Springs, CO; his aunt and uncle and family, Jim (Donna) Austin, and their families, Mike, Duane, Tim and Brian Austin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred L. Kuhl.
In lieu of flowers, a Ray Kuhl Memorial Fund has been established.
