Raymond C. "Ray" Grant, 81, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away, on Friday, September 9, 2016, at Ennoble Skilled Nursing & Rehab, in Dubuque, IA.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A/M, on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, in East Dubuque, with Pastor Sharon Treloar officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2 P/M to 6 P/M, on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, and from 9:45 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, in East Dubuque.

Ray was born on October 21, 1934, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Mike O'Shea and Eva "Babe" Barker. He was united in marriage to Jenanne Foht, on August 6, 1958, at the Wesley United Methodist Church.

Ray was a long time employee of Tschiggfrie Excavating Company, retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Operating Engineers', Local #234, and a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Wesley Men's Group.

Ray loved hunting, fishing, logging in his younger years and morel hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Jenanne (Foht) Grant; one (1) daughter, Sharon (Tom) Harris, of Cuba City, WI; and one (1) son, Russell (Linda Welp) Grant, of Zwingle, IA; four (4) grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Michael and Kelsey (Jamie); five (5) great-grandchildren, Alexis, Alana, Peyton, Aubrey and Adalee; one (1) brother, Terry (Gail) Grant, of West Union, IA; his in-laws, Norbert Foht (Shirley Kirkpatrick), of East Dubuque, IL, Connie Nolan, of Key West, IA, and Jerry Foht, of Dubuque, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike O'Shea and Eva "Babe" Grant; his grandfather, Charlie Barker; two (2) sisters, Jean Foht and Joan Ingles; and three (3) brothers, John, Larry and Bob Grant.
