Peter J. "Pete" Schneider, 53, of Menominee, IL, passed away suddenly at 9:05 A/M, Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 A/M, Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Nativity BVM Church, Menominee, IL, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 P/M to 8 P/M, Tuesday, December 10th, and from 9 A/M to 10:15 A/M, Wednesday, December 11th,at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, where the Holy Name Society & Parish Scripture service will be held Tuesday at 1:45 P/M. Members of the Menominee-Dunleith Fire Department will meet at 6:30 P/M, Tuesday.

Peter was born on December 18, 1959, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Erwin J. and Mary Kay (Wubben) Schneider. He married Deb Lange on June 4, 1983, at St. Joseph's Church, Sinsinawa, WI.

Peter farmed the family farms in Menominee all his lfe and worked hard from sun-up to sun-down. He was a graduate of Wahlert High School, Class of 1978. Peter was a member of Nativity BVM Parish and its Holy Name Society, a 22-year member of the Menominee-Dunleith Fire Department, a Cubs fan, a man who always had a smile and a sweet tooth. He loved his family and his John Deere equipment, and always made time for the farmer lunches.

Surviving are his wife, Deb; four daughters, Amy (Cameron) Webb, of Atlanta, GA, Kelly, Emily and Alison Schneider, all of Menominee; his siblings, Pamela K (Edward) Runde, of Cuba City, WI, Diane T. (Kevin) McFadden, of Cedar Falls, IA, Daniel R. (Monica) Schneider, of Hazel Green, WI, and Patricia (Christopher) Sullivan, of East Dubuque, IL; his sister-in-law, Mary Schneider, of Hazel Green, WI; numerous nieces and nephews; his Father and Mother-in-law, Merlin and Evelyn Lange, of Hazel Green, WI; his in-laws, Dan (Robin) Lange, of Hazel Green, WI, Dick (Sheila) Lange, of Kieler, WI, and Tim (Samantha) Lange, of Cobb, WI; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, David P. Schneider, on August 5, 2006; his grandparents, Elmer & Helen Wubben and Paul & Calista Schneider; and a brother-in-law, James "Stokes" Hahn.
