Patricia A. "Pat" Tibbetts, 72, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 28, 2014, at the home of her daughter, Jackie Van Meter, in Dubuque, IA.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A/M, on Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, with Pastor Michael Hill officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 7 P/M, on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, IL.

Pat was born on January 10, 1942, in Galena, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Velma (Temperly) Miller. She was a graduate of Galena High School, Class of 1960. Pat married Harvey W. Tibbetts on June 19, 1960, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, in Galena.

Pat and Harvey moved from Galena to East Dubuque in 1966. She always shared with people her thankfulness for being blessed to enjoy the same house with the same husband for 48 years. Pat was passionate about her beliefs and interests. Her grandchildren were dear to her heart.

Surviving are her husband, Harvey; two (2) children, Tony (Sara) Tibbetts, of East Dubuque, IL, and Jackie Van Meter, of Dubuque, IA; six (6) grandchildren, Marissa Tibbetts, Megan, Daniel and Natalie Roeth, Travis Busch and Michael Van Meter; her siblings, Dick Miller (special friend, Kay) of Galena, IL, Diane Niemeyer, of Shullsburg, WI, Ron (Libby) Miller, of Galena, IL, Greg (Lindy) Miller, of Earl, WI, and Mark Miller, of East Dubuque, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Pat Tibbetts Memorial Fund has been established for the benefit of Hospice of Dubuque.
