Patricia Ann Meyer, 81, of Scales Mound, IL, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 25, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, in Dubuque, IA, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A/M, on Monday, January 30,2017, the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, in Scales Mound, with Pastor John Lee officiating.  Burial will be in the Scales Mound Township Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 P/M to 4 P/M, on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at the Miller & Steinke Funeral Home, in Scales Mound.

Pat was born on September 14, 1935, near Elizabeth, IL, the daughter of Jacob and Sadie (Altfillisch) Morhardt.  She was a graduate of Scales Mound High School, Class of 1954.  On September 30, 1954, she was united in marriage to Edward A. Meyer, at the Scales Mound Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, baking, bingo, and previously worked on the farm with Ed, until their retirement.  Pat loved the ladies card club and occasional trips to the Casino.  She will be remembered for her famous chocolate chip cookies.

Surviving are her husband, Ed; three (3) daughters, Tammy Hesselbacher, Carolyn (Bernard) Trebian and Shari (Gary) Hillary, all of Scales Mound, IL; a son, David (Cristy) Meyer, of Sycamore, IL; twelve (12) grandchildren; seven (7) great-grandchildren and a baby girl on the way; two (2) brothers, Gerald (Donna) Morhardt, of Schapville, IL, and Richard (Margie) Morhardt, of Scales Mound, IL; and nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Sadie; and a son-in-law, David Hesselbacher.

Ed and family wish to give "special thanks" to the nurses and staff at Mercy Medical Center, 2-CVU, for the wonderful care provided to their wife and mother!
