On September 29, 1951, she married James E. Kelly, Sr. of Galena, IL. From then on she was dedicated to raising her family, living by the motto: "Kitchens are made for bringing families together." She loved spending time quilting, crocheting, baking, watching her Cubs, and her door was always open for a visit and a cup of coffee.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Dan) Burrows, Colleen (Pat) Keleher, Jim (Karen) Kelly II, Mike (Deb) Kelly, Patty Kelly (fiance', Bill Boggs), and Cindy Kelly.
She was a devoted grandmother, always holding her grandchildren close and filling them with cookies and Hershey's Kisses. She had eleven (11) grandchildren, Molly (Mike) Schumacher, David (Kari) Burrows, Amanda (Nathan) Ehrler, Nick Keleher and Sarah Keleher, Tom (Brooke) Keleher, Katie Keleher, Joe Kelly, Matt Kelly, Tim Kelly, Anne Kelly and Allison Kelly. She also had eleven (11) great-grandchildren, Max, Niya, and Eugene Schumacher, Maggie, Mia, and Mariella Burrows, Zack, Abby, and Madalyn Ehrler, Logan and Natalie Keleher; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Kelly, Sr. on January 20, 2004; a brother, Marshall (Gladys/Carol) Engstrom; and a sister, Harriett (Ed) Ring.
Patricia's family would like to give "special thanks" to Hospice of Dubuque, all of her caretakers, and Dr. Mary Koenigs, for the wonderful care provided for their mother and grandmother!
