Norma J. Peacock, 81, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away Sunday evening, June 18, 2017, at home, surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A/M, on Friday, June 23, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where members of the East Dubuque Volunteer Fire Department will meet at at 6 P/M, Thursday.
Norma was born on February 9, 1936, near Runnells, IA, the daughter of Alvin and Ellen (Anderson) Ford. She was united in marriage to John T. "Jack" Peacock, on April 16, 1955, in Dubuque, IA.
She was previously employed at Mulgrew's Tavern & Liquor Store, in East Dubuque, and also worked for FBG Cleaning Co. Norma enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching the TV show, Wheel of Fortune, and her trips to the Diamond Jo Casino.
Surviving are her husband, John T. "Jack" Peacock; six (6) children, John, Jr. (Cindy) Peacock, Tony Peacock, Lisa (Dealson) Sweet, Shawn Oglesby, Gina (Paul Montes) Peacock, and Michelle (Chris) Lonergan; nineteen (19) grandchildren; eleven (11) great-grandchildren; her siblings, Mildred Fedderson, Dorothy Callahan, Inez (Bill) Vondran and Jim Ford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ellen; two (2) brothers, Willard and Ralph Ford; and two (2) grandchildren, John T. Peacock, III and Daylin Werhspann.
A Norma L Peacock Memorial Fund has been established.
