Obituary
Mary Catherine (Kuhle) Vandermillen, 78, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 8:09 P/M, on Thurday, March 30, 2017, at Stonehill Care Center, in Dubuque, IA.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque, with Fr. Dean Smith officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 7 P/M, on Monday, April 3, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish rosary will be at 2:30 P/M, on Monday.
Mary Catherine was born on June 7, 1938, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Richard E. and Catherine (Allgeier) Kuhle. She was a graduate of East Dubuque High School, Class of 1956. Mary Catherine was united in marriage to Dale C. Vandermillen, on May 3, 1957, at St. Mary's Church, in East Dubuque. Dale preceded her in death on August 7, 1987.
She was a member of St. Mary's Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society. Mary Catherine was an avid card player and especially enjoyed euchre.
Surviving are four (4) children, Cheri (Don) Jacobs, Chuck (Ann) Vandermillen, Mike (Jaime) Vandermillen, all of East Dubuque, IL, and Sue (Gary) Bergfeld, of Peosta, IA; thirteen (13) grandchildren, Austin (fiance', Emmy), Christian (Emily), Zachary and Dylan, Aaron (Michelle), Daniel, Sarah, Kaitlyn (Rob), Matthew, Mitchell, Mike, Ryan (Mike) and Cassie (Joe); six (6) great-grandchildren, Remington, Benjamin Dale, Devon, Derek, Gabe and Miles; sisters-in-law, Delores Arnold, Diane Buhr and Dorothy (Donnie) Bohnsack; an aunt, Sister Clementine Kuhle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; brother-in-law, Ken "Bud" Arnold; and a son-in-law, Jerry Kramer.
Mary Catherine's family wishes to "thank" the Finley Hospital, Tri-State Dialysis, Stonehill Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque staffs, for the wonderful care provided to their mother, and an extra "special thank-you" to Stacy for the beautiful Christmas Party!
