Mary A. Rigdon, 84, of rural Hazel Green, WI, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at St. Dominic Villa, Hazel Green, WI.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 – 12;00 (Noon), on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, IL, where a Sharing of Memories will be at 11:30 a.m.

Graveside services will be 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, at the East Dubuque Cemetery with Deacon Mike Timmerman officiating.

Mary was born in Jamestown Township of Grant County, WI, the daughter of Mathias and Johannah (Collis) Schilling. She was united in marriage to Karl W. Rigdon on September 22, 1962, in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2022.

Mary was formerly employed at Walmart in Dubuque, IA, first as a greeter and later as sales associate. She enjoyed bingo, traveling and going on cruises.

Surviving are two children, Karla A. Rigdon and William K. Rigdon, both of Hazel Green, WI; two grandchildren, Johannah and Carmen (Michelle) Rigdon; and a great-grandson, Dean Rigdon.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Johannah; her husband, Karl; and siblings, Mae, Floyd, Bertha, Martina, Virgil and Elizabeth.
