Mary A. (Morgan) McCarthy, 91, of Luther Manor, Dubuque, IA, and formerly of 2106 St. Ambrose Street, Dubuque, passed away at 12:30 P/M, on Monday, March 16, 2015.

A private family burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.

Mary was born on December 20, 1923, at Lansing, IA, the daughter of John and Leonette (Althoff) Zeimet. She married Francis Morgan on February 17, 1942, at St. Patrick's Church, Dubuque. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1974. She later married Justin McCarthy on July 30, 1977, at St. Anthony's Church, also in Dubuque, and he preceded her in death on November 10, 1993.

Mary was a homemaker, loved gardening and visiting the Freiburger farm. She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish.

Surviving is her son, William F. "Bill" (Judith) Morgan, of Dubuque, IA; three (3) grandchildren, Todd Wainwright, Ben (Nicole) Morgan and Brad (Bridget) Morgan; six (6) great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim (Jean) Zeimet, of Hastings, MN; and a sister, Regina Collins, of Rockford, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Francis and Justin; and a daughter, Barb Wainwright, on December 20, 1974; her siblings, Bernadette Weber, Barney, Tom, Clem and Adrian Zeimet.

Mary's family wishes to extend a special "thank-you" to the "special angels" at Luther Manor and to the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque, especially Melissa, for the wonderful care given to their mother and grandmother.
