Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 8 P/M, on Monday, November 28, 2016, and from 8:45 A/M to 9:45 A/M, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1185 Hwy. 35 N., East Dubuque, IL where the parish scripture service will be at 2:30 P/M, on Monday.

Mary Ann was born on March 7, 1931, in Cassville, WI, the daughter of Alois and Alvina (Kluesner) Ploessl.  She married Tony Runde on November 7, 1953, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, in Glen Haven, WI.  Prior to their marriage, Mary Ann worked at Interstate Power Company, in Dubuque.  Tony and Mary Ann farmed in rural Cuba City for over fifty (50) years.  She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish CCW.

Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  We could always count on Mom to drop everything when anyone in the family needed her.  She enjoyed babysitting, preparing for family gatherings, attending her grandchildren's activities and the annual family "up North" trips.  Her family was her life.

She is survived by her husband, Tony; her children, Greg (Kay), of Cuba City, WI, Linda (Dan) Nelson, of LaCrosse, WI, Dennis (Jan Leiser) of Hazel Green, WI, Diane (Dave) Pluym, of Hazel Green, WI, and Deb (Roger) Hoppenjan, of Cuba City, WI; grandchildren, Brett (Laurie) Runde, Amanda (Jamie) Vaassen, Hannah (Jeremy) Brant, Nathan (Kelsey) Runde, TJ (Courtney) Runde, Garrett, Evan and Connor Pluym, Cody, Jenna and Ryan Hoppenjan; and fourteen (14) great-grandchildren with one (1) on the way; a sister, Alvera Bradley; and two (2) brothers, Ralph and Dick Ploessl.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Courtney Runde; a great-grandson, Carter Runde; her sister, Alice Bierman; and three (3) brothers, Virgil, Gerald and Gene Ploessl.

In lieu of flowers, a Mary Ann F. Runde Memorial Fund has been established, which will be distributed among her favorite charities.

Mary Ann's family would like to "thank" the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their compassionate care!
