Mrs. Daniel (Mary Virginia) Colligan, 73, of 954 Tressa Street, Dubuque, IA, passed away at 4:55 A/M, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Finley Hospital, Dubuque, IA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 A/M, Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. Columbkille's Church, Dubuque, IA, with Fr. Gabriel Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Key West, IA.
Friends may call from 4 P/M to 7 P/M, Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, where the parish prayer service will be at 4 P/M.
Mary Virginia was born on April 15, 1939 in Mason City, IA, the daughter of Maurice J. and Mary Frances (O'Donnell) Monahan.
She married Daniel M. Colligan on September 17, 1960 at Mason City, IA. She was a member of St. Columbkille Parish and was formerly employed as a beautician for the Sisters of Mercy at McCauley Center.
Surviving are her husband, Dan; a daughter, Kathy (Randy) Accola, East Dubuque, IL; a son, Michael J. Colligan, Dubuque, IA; and two grandsons, Andrew and Nicholas Accola.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
