Mary K. (Kuhl) Baumhover, 81, of Sunset Park Place, Dubuque, IA, formerly of 1660 Kane Street, Dubuque, passed away at 2:30 A/M, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Sunset Park Place.

Funeral Services will be at 10 A/M, Monday, January 14, 2013 at the Church of the Nativity, Dubuque, with Rev. Scott Bullock officiating. The Nativity Parish Rosary will be recited at 9:30 A/M, Monday, at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque.

Friends may call from 2 P/M to 6 P/M, Sunday, January 13, 2013 and after 8:45 A/M, Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, where the parish scripture service will be at 5:45 P/M, Sunday.

Mary Kathryn was born on October 23, 1931 in Dubuque, the daughter of Oswald B. and Emily (Welp) Kuhl. She married Ronald F. Baumhover on December 26, 1953 at Nativity Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1993.

She was a graduate of Visitation Academy and Clarke College where she earned a degree as a radiological technician. She and Ron were very active in the Genealogical Society of Dubuque. They loved to travel and made two trips to Europe.

Surviving are three sons, Steven (Ellen) Baumhover, Thomas Baumhover, and Michael (Jill) Baumhover, all of Dubuque, IA; six grandchildren, John, Andy, Scott, Rachel, Matthew and Jake; one great granddaughter, Claire; one brother, Merlyn Kuhl, of Clinton, IA; and one sister, Elaine Bromelkamp, of Rochester, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two grandsons, Joshua and Christopher Baumhover, a sister-in-law, Violet Kuhl, and a brother-in-law, Hank Bromelkamp.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sunset Park Place for the care provided to Mom the last several years, and also to the nurses at Hospice of Dubuque.
