Obituary

Mrs. Philip (Mary Ann Timmerman) Runde, 76, of Kieler, WI, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 19, 2017, at Ennoble Manor Care Center, Dubuque, IA with her family by her side.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Holy Ghost Church, in Dickeyville, WI with Fr. Bernard Rott officiating.  Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Kieler, WI.

Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 7 P/M, on Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish rosary will be recited at 2:45 P/M, on Friday, and from 9:15 A/M to 10:15 A/M, on Saturday, at Holy Ghost Church.

Mary Ann was born on August 15, 1941, at Hazel Green, WI, the daughter of Delvan and Irene (Wiederholt) Timmerman. She was united in marriage to Philip A. Runde, on June 6, 1961, at Immaculate Conception Church, in Kieler. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2013.

Mary Ann was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish and its Council of Catholic Women, where she collected CCA points to benefit CCW.  She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School, St. Joseph's Academy and graduated with the first graduation class of Wahlert High School.

In her younger years she loved bowling, playing poker with the girls, shopping, going for late night pizza, and later playing triple yatzee with her sister.  She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was formerly employed at Betty Jane Candy, Sinsinawa Mound, cooked for various area restaurants, ran Bob's Recreation softball league and tournaments, and drove bus for Stratton Bus Company.  She and Phil operated Runde's Bar & Hall, in Kieler, from 1984-2000.  Mary Ann would also hold clothing parties in her home for Queen's Way.

Surviving are two (2) daughters, Ann (Dale) Haverland, of Hazel Green, WI, and Angela (Dion) Nickel, of Wylie, TX; four (4) grandchildren, Andrew Haverland, Rebecca (fiance', Bryan Johnson) Haverland, Ashley and Bryce Nickel; her siblings, Eldren "Gus" (Alvina) Timmerman, of rural Cuba City, WI, Anita (Bernard) Heileman, of Dickeyville, WI, and Jeanette (Faber) Runde, of Kieler, WI; many nieces and nephews; her in-laws, LaVerne (Dola) Runde, of East Dubuque, IL, and David (Joyce) Runde, of Wisconsin Dells, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delvan and Irene; her husband, Phil; nieces and nephews, Charlie Runde, Daniel Heileman, Tony Timmerman and Cheryl Heileman; her in-laws, Bernard (Eileen) Runde and Gerald (Mary A.) Runde.

Mary Ann's family wishes to "thank" the nurses and staff at Ennoble Manor and Hospice of Dubuque for the kind and compassionate care shown to their mother and grandmother!

Mary Ann will be remembered by the staff at Ennoble Manor for her beautiful smile, singing and dancing.
