Marian E. (Runde) Timmerman, 94, of Dubuque, IA, and formerly of the Sinsinawa, WI, area, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at home.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A/M, on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, in Dubuque, with Fr. Gabriel Anderson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Sinsinawa, WI.
Visitation will be from 3 P/M to 7:30 P/M, on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, and from 8:45 A/M to 9:45 A/M, on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, where the parish scripture service will be at 3 P/M, on Wednesday.
Marian was born on April 29, 1922, near Hazel Green, WI, the daughter of Albert J. and Rosa M. (Brant) Runde. She was united in marriage to Marcellus "Marcy" Timmerman on July 16, 1946, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, in Dubuque. Marcy preceded her in death on March 15, 2008.
She was a graduate of Hazel Green High School, Class of 1940, and a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, in Dubuque, Class of 1944. She did private duty nursing and later worked at St. Dominic Villa. Marian and Marcy farmed together for over thirty (30) years until they retired and moved to Dubuque in 1981. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, at Sinsinawa, and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, in Dubuque.
Surviving are five (5) children, Jo Ann M. Timmerman, OP, of Sinsinawa, WI, Jane R. Timmerman, of Kalispell, MT, Nancy M (John) Helbing, of Cuba City, WI, Terry J (Judy) Timmerman, on the home farm in rural Cuba City, WI, and Tim G. (Christie) Timmerman, of Dubuque, IA; eleven (11) grandchildren, Peter (Katie Nelson) Helbing, Ben (Samantha Stevens) Helbing, Aaron Timmerman, Emily (Jake) Fleege, Molly (Dan) Kieler, Nicole (Mahamood) Akhtar, Katie Timmerman, Allie Timmerman, Sarah Timmerman, Andrew Timmerman and Daniel Timmerman; seven (7) great-grandchildren, Humza, Zakariya, Zayd, and Maryam Akhtar, Landon and Alayna Kieler, and Bradley Helbing; and a sister, Anna Mae (Paul) Gisch, of Dubuque, IA.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Regina Vosberg, Joseph Runde, Delmar Runde, Kate Cole and Fr. David Runde.
Marian's family wishes to give "thanks" to the caregivers of "No Place Like Home Senior Care", especially Linda and Janet, for their years of exceptional and loving care.
