Lillian D. "Lil"  Accola, 98, of East Dubuque, IL, died Thursday afternoon, March 23, 2017, at Manor Care Health Services, in Dubuque, IA.

Funeral Services will be at 11 A/M, on Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque, with burial in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Friends/relatives may call after 9:30 A/M, on Monday, at the Miller Funeral Home.

Lil was born on March 6, 1919, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of George and Helen (Gau) Lanser.  She was united in marriage to Herbert B. Accola, on March 23, 1940, in Dubuque.  He preceded her in death on June 27, 2004.

She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the former Accola Beverage Company, in East Dubuque; a member of VFW Auxiliary #7976, and she and Herb were former members of the Galena Golf Club.

Surviving is a brother, Ronald (Ann) Lanser, of Dubuque, IA; a brother-in-law, Gerald (Sharon) Accola, of East Dubuque, IL; two (2) sisters-in-law, Iva Accola and Shirley Accola; nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen; her husband, Herb; two (2) sisters, Georgean Sweeney and Ardath Sieffert; and two (2) brothers, Daniel and Wayne Lanser.
