Leisa Ann Barklow, age 85, of East Dubuque, IL, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Eisenhower Health Hospital in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Leisa went to join the love & inspiration of her life, Daryl D. Barklow, whom she married on February 20, 1971, & always maintained he was the “Wind Beneath Her Wings”. She was born on February 21,1941, to parents, Chester & Phoebe (Worth) Morris. She lived a full fruitful life as a mother raising 4 boys with Daryl. Leisa was successful in her life not only as a mother raising four but also worked many years as the office manager of the local telephone office in East Dubuque until its relocation and then went on to property management until her retirement.

Those left to cherish her memory are her 4 sons:, Robert (Mary) Knupp, Paul Knupp, Geoffery Barklow, & Donald (Alesha) Barklow, all of East Dubuque, IL; 10 Grandchildren, Tabitha (Mark) Wand, Katie Knupp, Cord Marshall, Isabelle Knupp, Benjamin Knupp, Jake Atchison, Whitney (Dalton) Foley, Noah (Samantha) Barklow, Samantha Barklow, Alexandra Barklow, Ty Kruser, & Easten Kruser; 8 Great Grandchildren, Trinity, Thea, Aidan, Greyson, Malaya, Ada, Reese & Sabrina. She will also be missed by friends that have remained friends throughout her lifetime.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Daryl D. Barklow, John Knupp; son, Calvin Downing; brother, Chester Morris Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Mae Morris, Phoebe Allen, Joan Heinen, Ruth Finney, & Rosemary Wilhelm.

Leisa & Daryl based their lives, love, marriage, family, & relationship throughout their lives on love, trust, & respect.

A celebration of Leisa’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Lacoma Golf Event Center in East Dubuque, Il.

The Miller Funeral Home of East Dubuque is assisting the family.
