Laurie J. (Krohn) Davis, 59, of the Galena Stauss Senior Care Community, formerly of East Dubuque, IL, passed away at 12:53 A/M, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the Galena Stauss Senior Care Community.

Graveside services will be at 2 P/M, on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Grant Hill Cemetery, rural Galena.

The Miller Funeral Home, of East Dubuque, is serving the family.

Laurie was born on August 18, 1963, in Centerville, IA, the daughter of Keith M. and Florence J. (Efaw) Krohn. Laurie was an avid roller-skater, skating at least once a week.

She was united in marriage to Eric M. Davis on April 8, 1983, and later divorced on September 5, 2007. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis early in her marriage. After her divorce she lived with her mother until entering the Galena Stauss Senior Care Community on April 19, 2019, where she spent the past three years.

Surviving are her mother, Florence J. Krohn, of East Dubuque, IL; a sister, Melissa (Keith) Benson, of Hanover, IL; nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Tina, Teresa, Brenda, Cheryl and Tracy; and brother-in-law, John Binninger, of East Dubuque, IL.

Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Keith; sister, Denise (Fowler) Binninger; and nephew, Jonathan Binninger.

Florence and family wish to thank the nurses and staff that cared for Laurie, especially her favorite nurse, Angie.
