Josef "Joe" Lenaers, 51, 534 Michigan Avenue, East Dubuque, IL, died at 5:20 P/M, Monday, September 3, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, IA, as the result of a massive heart attack.

A time of remembrance will be at 5:30 P/M, Thursday, September 5, 2012, at the Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque, IL, where friends may call from 2 P/M to 6 P/M, Thursday.

Joe was born on February 14, 1961, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Peter and Johanna (Joosten) Lenaers. He married Kim (Boeckenstedt) Boxleiter on August 8, 2008. Joe was employed at Spring Green Lawn Care, Platteville, WI.

Joe enjoyed music, was an avid guitar player and enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Kim; a son, Jeremy (Christy) Lenaers, Dubuque, IA; a daughter, Brooke (Brett) Dies, Blue Grass, IA; two step-sons, Chris (Shayna) Boxleiter, Dubuque, IA, J J (fiancee' Chrissy Redfearn) Boxleiter, East Dubuque, IL; seven grandchildren; his siblings, Pete (Jerina) Lenaers, Byron, GA; his twin, John Lenaers, Wausau, WI; Katie Mandot, Clinton, IA; Jo Riley, Chicago, IL; Lucy (Bob) Leick, Dubuque, IA; and Robin (Steve) Havlovick, Wausau, WI.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents.

A Josef "Joe" Lenaers Memorial Fund has been established.
