Obituary
John T. Splinter, 18, of rural Hazel Green, WI, passed away, on Monday evening, March 28, 2016, at home.
Private family graveside services will be at 10 A/M, on Friday, April 1, 2016, at the East Dubuque Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 P/M to 8 P/M, on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Miller Funeral Home, in East Dubuque.
John was born on March 24, 1998, in Dubuque IA, the son of John M. and Barbara J. (Minkler) Splinter.
He was a senior at the East Dubuque High School and a member of the Class of 2016. John loved welding, horseback riding, was a computer games, and played football in his freshman and senior year of school.
Surviving are his parents, John and Barbara Splinter; his siblings, Conor Harris (fiance', Brianne Ratkovich), of East Dubuque, IL, Kaley Harris (Richard Seals) and two (2) nieces, Catalena Harris and Loralei Seals, all of Fayette, NC, and Luke Harris, of Salt Lake City, UT; his paternal grandparents, Fred and Marilyn (Runde) Splinter, of East Dubuque, IL, and Robert Minkler, of Des Moines, IA.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sally Minkler.
A John T. Splinter Memorial Fund has been established.
