Joan M. Jansen-Meyer, 73, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque.

Family and friends may call from 4 – 7 p.m., on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque.

Joan was born on December 23, 1950, at Lancaster, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Beulah (Droessler) Loeffelholz. She was united in marriage to Patrick L. Meyer, on August 19, 2019, at the Dubuque Arboretum.

Joan was a graduate of the Visitation Academy in Dubuque, the Class of 1968 and earned her nursing degree from Highland Community College, Freeport, IL. She was formerly employed at Finley Hospital and worked for various nursing homes. Joan was an avid tennis player and loved her dogs.

Surviving are her husband, Patrick; a son, Isadore Joseph (Dayna) Haverland, of Dubuque, IA; and a grandson, Wilson Haverland; her siblings, Nancy (Gene) Jaworski, of Ypsilanti, MI, Judy (Steve) Smith, Petaluma, CA, Rachel (Tom) Henke, Potosi, WI, Paula (Bart) Bartelme, Platteville, WI, and Steve (Sharon) Loeffelholz, Cuba City, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Beulah; a sister, Mary; and a brother Andy.
